Paul Katsafanas is Professor of Philosophy at Boston University. He works on ethics, moral psychology, and nineteenth-century philosophy. He has published three books, including most recently The Philosophy of Devotion: The Longing for Invulnerable Ideals (Oxford University Press, 2022). Jesse L. Preston is Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Warwick. Her work focuses on the psychology of belief and what makes beliefs meaningful.
